ShopNest: A Modern Free E-commerce Platform
ShopNest is a free e-commerce platform where shoppers browse a product catalog, build a cart, complete a guided checkout, and track every order to delivery. It pairs a fast storefront — instant search, faceted filters, and side-by-side product comparison — with the account features people expect from a real online store: sign-in, order history, wishlists, a loyalty program, and product reviews. Store owners get a separate admin dashboard to manage products, orders, customers, content, and analytics.
ShopNest runs on the web at shopnest.aoneahsan.com, with Android and iOS builds in progress. It is built with React, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack Router/Query, Radix UI, and Capacitor, on top of Firebase and Firestore. Most of the storefront — search, filtering, comparison, the cart, and PDF invoice generation — runs client-side in your browser.
Who ShopNest is for
ShopNest serves two audiences from one codebase:
- Shoppers get a clean storefront to discover products, compare options, save favorites, check out securely, and follow orders to their door.
- Store owners and admins get a dashboard to add and edit products, fulfill and update orders, moderate reviews, publish blog content, and read sales analytics.
What you can do
- Browse a product catalog by category and open detailed product pages.
- Search and filter the catalog, then compare candidates side by side.
- Add items to a persistent cart and check out through a shipping → payment → review flow.
- Pay with Stripe or PayPal and download a PDF invoice.
- Create an account with Google, Apple, or email, and re-login with biometrics on supported devices.
- Track orders, keep a wishlist, and earn loyalty points.
How the docs are organized
Start with the Quick Start to go from the landing page to your first order. The Features section documents each shipped area of the app, the Guides section walks through specific tasks like placing or tracking an order, and the FAQ answers common questions about accounts, payments, and privacy.
ShopNest is free to use and shows only first-party promotions for the developer's other apps — there are no third-party ad networks. It is built and maintained by Ahsan Mahmood.
