The cart and checkout turn a list of products into a confirmed order. The ShopNest cart holds your selected items, persists across page reloads and devices, and supports coupons; checkout is a guided, multi-step flow that collects shipping, payment, and a final review before you confirm.
The cart
Add any product to the cart from a listing, quick view, or detail page. In the cart you can:
- Change item quantities or remove items.
- Apply a coupon code for eligible discounts.
- See a live subtotal, discounts, and total.
Your cart is saved locally so it survives a refresh, and once you sign in it follows you across devices, so a cart you started on a phone is waiting on a laptop.
Multi-step checkout
Checkout breaks the purchase into clear steps so nothing is missed:
- Shipping — choose or add a delivery address.
- Payment — pick a method and enter details (Stripe or PayPal).
- Review — confirm items, totals, address, and payment before placing the order.
Each step validates before you advance, so you can't reach payment without an address or confirm without reviewing. After you place the order, ShopNest creates it and routes you to confirmation, with tracking available immediately.
Coupons and totals
ShopNest applies eligible coupon codes to the cart and reflects the discount in the running total, so the price you review at checkout is the price you pay. Shipping and any applicable charges are shown before confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
Does my cart survive if I close the tab?
Yes. The cart persists across reloads, and once you sign in it syncs across your devices.
Do I need an account to check out?
You sign in to check out so your order can be saved, tracked, and invoiced. You can fill the cart first and sign in when you're ready.
Can I review everything before paying?
Yes. The final review step shows your items, totals, shipping address, and payment method before you confirm.
